USF Masters in Medical Science Info Sessions

MASTERS IN MEDICAL SCIENCE WITH A
CONCENTRATION IN INTERDISCIPLINARY MEDICAL SCIENCE (IMS)

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Opportunity for promising pre-medical students to demonstrate the knowledge skills, and attitudes required for successful performance in the undergraduate medical education curriculum of the College of Medicine prior to consideration for matriculation. Students will take courses that, while not identical to the first year of medical school, will provide the same level of depth, breadth and intensity, allowing successful participants to demonstrate their readiness for the rigors of a medical school curriculum.

CURRICULUM: Medical Track
Medical science learning skills
Core physiology
Molecular medicine
Medical neuroscience
Human anatomy
Behavioral medicine

ELIGIBILITY
Ideally, candidates will meet the following requirements:
• 3.0 and above GPA
• 22 and above MCAT (GRE scores will not be accepted).
• Completed 1 year of undergraduate work in:
• General Chemistry
• Organic Chemistry
• General Biology
• General Physics

Students are encouraged to attend one of the following IMS Information Sessions:
